Recently we ran a competition on the iPhoneAppCafe Facebook page to see which of our readers could take the most impressive picture with their iPhone. The competition was stiff and in the end we went with Buel Chandler’s striking image of a pair of trucks stuck in a mud bog, which, given the surroundings, was incredibly impressive. However, we also received some very close runners up to Buel’s winner, so we though that we would share them with you for you to rate and comment. So, here are 8 very impressive photos taken with an iPhone!
1. Washington At Dusk
Ivan Sciupac’s gorgeous image of Washington DC was taken with the iPhone app Pro HDR and is truly impressive, with amazing tones and shading to the clouds check out our ‘How To Take Great iPhone Photos’ for more information on how to get that perfect snap.
2. Rocking Out With Warpaint
Julie Molloy captured the all-girl rock band Warpaint at Tripod in Dublin using what looks like Hipstamatic to get a washed out retro feel to the photo.

5. Burnt Out
This was my addition to the collection; I was walking past a pub in London when a car suddenly burst into flames! The driver got out and ran away, leaving the rest of us to just sit and watch…and take pictures. (I used Hipstamatic to get the retro-soaked image, by the way!)
6. St. Thomas Sunset
Kevin Shannon witnessed a truly fantastic sunset in St. Thomas with a very unique cloud formation high in the sky.
