It’s an addictive word game that will challenge you to link letters on an abacus in order to create words. Users must select connecting beads in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal position to create words and gain points. All words must contain three letters or more and the game recognises both English and American spellings. Word Abacus features some great sound effects and is a perfect time filler game. It’s also perfect for a broad age range. The grid features exactly like an abacus where you can move the letters across a string in order to increase more word possibilities.

After creating a range of words, users proceed to higher levels, where the game becomes increasingly challenging but higher levels means higher points! Various beads become highlighted in green to indicate that the number of green segments visible will multiply the word score. Red highlighted letters also multiply the word score but once all red ring segments are visible the game is over! Therefore, eliminate all red-letter rings quickly!

There is also a Word Abacus Premium upgrade available for £1.19, which includes no adverts during play and an extra word hints feature. In my opinion, the free version is adequate and contains all needed features.
