Problems with new Apple products are nothing new. Sometimes they fade into obscurity like the iPhone 4s yellow screen debacle, other times they turn into something a little more substantial like the iPhone 4 antenna issue. Since the new iPad was released on the 16th, there have been several reports of units growing extremely hot, particularly in the LTE models.Consumer reports issued a statement saying that “During our tests, I held the new iPad in my hands. When it was at its hottest, it felt very warm but not especially uncomfortable if held for a brief period.” Apple also issued a statement on the matter today, saying “The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications. If customers have any concerns they should contact AppleCare.” Are any of you having heating issues? Do you have a Wi-Fi or LTE model? Let us know in the comments if this has happened to you.
