Ab Workouts Free: Can an iPhone App Give Me a Six-Pack?!


Technology and fitness haven’t always walked hand in hand, with the cliché of tubby computer geeks staring at their screens for hours on end still fresh in many people’ mind; however, Free Ab Workouts promises to reverse that trend, with an iPhone app designed to sculpt your stomach! So does it work? Well, sort of.

The layout is pretty accessible, with images of a cartoon man guiding you through the motions to get you a flat stomach; some of the exercises are fairly innovative, with some lifts that you can do on your chair at work, (provided that you don’t mind a few stares…!) You get your own personal trainer who guides you through your training with helpful hints and encouraging phrases.

All in all, not bad, but for a more comprehensive app workout buddy, check out iFitness.

Pros: The personal trainer is a nice touch, as it helps having a voice encouraging you, even if it is pre-recorded.

Cons: There aren’t really enough exercises to keep you interested for too long and once you’ve memorized them, you don’t really need the app except for those dulcet tones of the trainer…


  1. they should fix the prerecorded voice for sure, ive had times when it i’ve just started and he says “just a few more”. I’m afraid to go pro as the review seem like ever other app review site out there, they say its the best app and give it 5 stars but those reviews seem fake and real reviews are people saying it crashes on the pro version, so im sticking with the “lite” version.

  2. Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Spending some time and actual effort to generate a superb article… but what can I say… I hesitate a lot and never seem to get nearly anything done.
