Bracketron's iRoom iDock

Bracketron’s in-wall iPad mounting solution is named CES Innovations 2012 award honouree.

Bracketron has announced that it has been recognized as a CES Innovations Award Honouree for the second year in a row. This year, the awards program’s preeminent judging panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and journalists honoured the iRoom iDock for its outstanding design and engineering as a cutting-edge consumer electronics product. Bracketron’s iRoom iDock is the world’s first powered, motorized in-wall iPad mounting solution. Available in portrait and landscape models, the iRoom iDock can be flush-mounted in the wall to seamlessly and stylishly integrate the iPad into any room. Last year, Bracketron was an Innovations Award winner in the In-Vehicle Accessories product category.

The Consumer Electronics Association sponsors the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards and is also the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow. Bracketron will showcase the iRoom iDock and its many other innovative mobile device accessories at the 2012 International CES in the Las Vegas Convention Centre, North Hall Booth 6228, January 10-13, 2012.

Bracketron’s iRoom iDock is designed for in-wall docking and control in private homes, hotels, yachts, restaurants, hospitals, boardrooms, retailers and more. The iDock includes both power and composite audio internal connections, and features a patented motorized docking system that opens and closes the iDock to securely store the iPad. The opening mechanism is activated by a one-touch proximity sensor that recognizes when you are nearby and switches the iDock to the open position allowing you to insert your iPad. The proximity sensor can also be disabled to lock the iPad permanently in place. When the iPad is inserted into the dock, you have total control of smart home applications on the device while it is also being charged.
