Vonage is one of the biggest names in the home VOIP game, but in a world where people are using only their mobile for everything, they are trying to find a new way to stay relevant. Their latest attempt is a new IOS app that allows users anywhere in the world to call another user anywhere else in the world. The downside is both users must have a smartphone, and te app installed but its still a leg up on most services which don’t allow you to use VOIP internationally without buying minutes. If this sounds familiar its because Viber functions much the same way. But competition leads to innovation as they say, and it’s always good to have options!
