How many people across the world have access to your mobile data right now? How many hours have you been active on the internet in your life? What have you said, what have you inferred, sent, searched for, looked up, read about, downloaded? And what could it mean taken out of context? It’s a sobering thought, and one that is becoming more prevalent for a lot of people in the wake of several high-profile hacking scandals. On the other hand, you don’t want to stop using the glorious mobile messaging system do you? Whoever your provider, it’s far too free and convenient. Here’s a new kid on block that solves both those problems. It’s entirely free and entirely secure. It’s called Oozzat!?, it’s brand new and it’s out now for iOS and Android.

Oozzat?!, which is Cockney for ‘who’s that?’ (Cockney, Sonia, is an area in London where criminals live), is all about security. They’re entirely transparent in their dealings, which means there’s zero chance of them selling any of your data on to third parties, unlike so many other social networks, who routinely sell you up the river (it’s the hard truth I’m afraid). Every message you send, be it straight text or a picture, is encrypted. This might sound like overkill, but in relation to the amount of stealing that goes on right under our online noses, it’s actually a very prudent precaution.

But Oozzat?! isn’t only about stuffy-nosed seriousness; it’s a seriously fun little app with a mischievous side. As well as being able to send standard messages between devices for free, you’re also given the opportunity to send anonymous messages to your contacts. Maybe you want to cruelly prank a sibling or confess your undying love to someone without overly committing; anonymous contact is the route for you. Test the waters a little. Be warned though, the target of your maliciousness/affections can use ‘reveal credits’ to discover who exactly is behind the messages; though I’m guessing that half the fun is, well, guessing. The picture messages can also be anonymous, which provides a cool little angle; receiving a picture of someone’s dinner can be made all the more exciting by guessing which one of your chums is eating it.

You can also send delayed messages, allowing you to capitalise on some stray witty thought or remark relevant in the near future, but not quite in the present. You can form groups, then message one-on-one as a top secret splinter group of the main group. On a more serious note, you can block unwanted contacts and decide how long you want your messages to remain on the database; and if you choose to end it all, every trace of you will be wiped from the Oozzat!? memory in very short order. If you’re looking for a safer way of conversing via mobile, check out this great little app that manages to provide secure peace-of-mind with an entertaining messenger system.

Hook up to the App Store or Google Play to secure yourself Oozzat!? for free today!
