The diligent chaps over at Dot Com Infoway have devised an infographic that summarizes all of the need-to-know information about the app market today. According to the infographic’s statistics, there are 585,000 apps on the Apple store, 450,000 apps on the Android market and 82,234 apps available at present on Microsoft’s store; moreover, more than 300,000 mobile apps have been developed in the last three years.
This information can be very useful to anyone who wants to succeed in the app development market; with the market yielding $7.3 billion revenue in 2011 and revenues predicted to reach $36.7 billion by 2015, there’s certainly a buck or two to be made in this racket. However, as the market is flooded with so many contenders, it’s definitely best to stay at the top of your game and understand the delicate process of carrying an app from its embryonic stage al the way through to post-launch promotion.
