A lot of the US is opening up now that we seem to be (fingers crossed) over the worst of the coronavirus pandemic. But you’ve probably spent so much time in quarantine that it might be a tad scary to go out in the world again. Don’t worry – here are the six types of apps you need to download to help you thrive post-pandemic.

1. Dating Apps

While it’s still important to practice social distancing during this time, that doesn’t mean you can’t start checking out your options on dating apps. Whether it’s Bumble or Hinge (or whatever app you prefer to swipe right on), start making some connections with other singles so your solo status during lockdown will soon be a thing of the past.

One thing you’ll need to get used to in this new world? A lot of waiting in lines! As stores and restaurants try to space out their customers, you could end up waiting in a long line just to get in. Now’s the perfect time to download some mobile payment apps on your phone because a lot of businesses will prefer you use this method instead of cash (exchanging money can increase your risk of coming in contact with the virus.) Apple Pay, Venmo, and Zelle can all be quick and easy ways to send money to people or businesses without you having to handle germ-riddled cash.

6. Health Apps

Even though many Americans might feel like they’re in the clear from the coronavirus, it’s super important that everyone is still paying attention to health warnings (especially in your specific county or state). Download apps if they’re offered by your state for up-to-date news on everything from the number of local cases near you to when businesses will reopen or get the official CDC app to make sure you’re getting only the very latest news from coronavirus experts.
