Tribe Survival iPhone App Review

I had high hopes for Tribe Survival, upon opening the app I was greeted by some rather quirky music that almost caused be to throw some shapes, but I regret to inform you the only thing I would be throwing that evening is my iPhone; on the floor. Now before I begin slating this game I will at least comment on how well designed it is, so well designed in fact that you almost think it’s a good game, almost had me there Tribe Survival.

Tribe survival is a very simple game, you throw a dice, if you get a higher number than your opponent you attack, if you get a lower number they attack, and this system becomes very tedious very quickly with no skill required other than an impossibly fast finger to click the rapidly changing dice number. After the sleek design of the game raised expectations so high I found I was left with an app that is almost intolerably boring.

Other than fighting against the other ten players on the Tribe Survival server (not an exaggeration) you can train your character to improve your attack, defense, speed and magic. How I hear you ask? Well at the throw of a dice of course! You can choose from low, medium, high and ultra. Ultra I clicked first, which takes the most energy resources, I like to live life on the edge. It directed me to a screen displaying four rows of dices; each row containing six separate dices, below is line of ever alternating dices, the numbers flicking about at an unfathomably fast speed. The aim is simply to match as many to the above dices as you can….wait a minute…this concept seems familiar….ah yes the archaic game of bingo, the pensioners keen favourite.

This game for me Is a hugely unimaginative concept that does not require any skill at all, you could literally blindly mash the screen and become the best in the world. This game may be appeal to children who enjoy blindly mashing on the screen and will do so for hours, but this game barely even tickled my brain,I want something that will grab my brain and tear it out of my cranium. Sorry Tribe Survival it was a good effort but better luck next time.
