Simply Declare Travel App is an app we took a look at in June of last year. But because Simply Declare has made some strides to add features we thought we would take another look. Simply Declare Travel App is the app you need when you are traveling out of your home country and planning on bringing hard goods home. The beauty of the app is it’s ability to use multiple currencies to constantly stay in the know about what you have spend and will have to declare upon your return home.

Rae Mapey, the developer, has added quite a few new features to the paid version to aid the world traveler and has in fact made it much more rounded travel app. The basic purchase of Simply Declare now gives the user a Quick Currency Converter, a Notepad (which won’t be cleared upon “new trip”), the ability to make notes on the items which has been added to their list, and a very simply iCloud storage System. Simply Declare Travel App now also has in-app purchases which will allow the traveler to tailor the app to their needs. The basic paid version gives the user 34 supported currencies, but can now be increased to 165 currencies, including the much talked about Bitcoin.

One of the nicer features if you do choose to go with all the currencies is a “favourites” list which allows the user to bring to the top seven currencies. This “favourites” feature is also in the items page, to help the user when adding another purchase to their lists. Lists, the ability to now itemize per and individual user, is now available. If your country required itemized individual lists, this is the feature which will make you smile. The list allows you to move your items around to make sure you stay within your limits, and with a quick glance there is a feature which tells you how much each individual has left to spend.

History of Trips is also another feature for the world traveler, which can help you store your information in the event you want house the internal notepad as a road map of your trip and keep your data for other reasons.

Simply Declare still lets you take a picture of your receipt, and now will enlarge when you re-tap the image for better clarity. iCloud Storage is a nice touch as we are all concerned about losing our data. Its easy to use. Set up your iCloud storage to on, and tap the cloud up.This will back up your data in the event you hit the wrong key. Just tap the cloud down button and its restored. Simply Declare Travel App does have a free version, but it is a stripped down version which will only track your duty-free purchases. (which is pretty good) but why not spend the equivalent of a cup of java and enjoy this really slick travel app.
