After two years of reviewing the latest and greatest iPhone and iPad apps, we are launching our very own ‘App Idol’ competition in which we encourage anybody with an idea for an app to submit their idea in written form to be in with a chance of winning:
- $1,000 prize money
- Leading development company Locassa will develop the app
- Feedback and mentoring from four successful app entrepreneurs on the panel of judges
- Marketing for the app on iPhoneAppCafe.com and our partner sites including the social reach of over 100,000 followers of our high profile judges
- The winner will be featured on iPhoneLife.com and circulated to their 100,000 newsletter subscribers
A panel of successful app entrepreneurs will review the finalists’ submissions. We have four high profile judges on the panel, which we will be announcing in the lead up to the event.

A truly successful young entrepreneur, Chris co-founded mobile data startup iCarCheck bringing UK car data to the iPhone which is currently negotiating a sale with a large household name company. He is currently working on Corkbin, an app that is launching into the first full Wine Recommendation Engine. Chris is based in New York and is the co-founder of Flagons Den, a monthly event run for tech entrepreneurs on the London Startup Scene.
