Maths for a lot of people is hard graph. It’s sometimes difficult to deal with complex mathematical equations and learning from an early age is key in grasping how to find a solution. My son is amazing a literature however he finds Maths, in his own words, scary. Luckily there are Apps available to help children do much better and gain vital skills.

One such app is DetecThink. The app is designed to enhance kids Maths skills by getting them to solve detective mysteries through math puzzle questions. The questions need to be solved in-order to get to the end of the story. There are up to 100 puzzles to go through so kids won’t have time to get bored. Because every child math skills will be different, there is the option for parents to adjust the difficulty level. There is also the option for adding a number of different accounts. For instant, if there is more than one child in a household or if a teacher at school chooses to use the app with their pupils then they can easily do this with everyone having an individual account. A child’s progress can also be monitored within the app with a clear progress report.

Because it’s designed for ages 6 – 8 years old, starting a game is easy. Once the app is open there is an option to add parents email and set a password. You can select numbers up to 10, 50, 99, 500 and 999 depending on your child’s skill level. They then have the option to choose a ‘detective name’. The child will then get to choose an avatar and outfit to match their personality. You then begin the game and interact with what’s on your screen to progress. Solve different maths such as addition or subtraction in order to create a bridge and other mysteries.

DetecThink is an interactive and cool app for kids. It gives kids the chance to improve and brush up on their math skills. It’s free to download and have enough features to educate and keep the kids entertain.
