Happiness on a global scale seems to be the way forward these days. Everyone seems to be doing stuff for other people and compassion appears to be king. By sharing your happiness, you can actually give something back to charity and do something nice for others. The very act is bound to make you feel good and the person you have made happy feel great too. In other words, everyone seems to win.
So, I thought I’d give it a try – this BeHppy app and see if I can get to make someone’s day and make myself feel good in the meantime. It is an anonymous network so you will never be exposed to the world and his wife. OK, so I thought, that has to be a good thing; and there appears to be several different ways by which you can spread your happiness.
Happiness is shared by way of photos and status reports. Post something that will make someone feel happy and spread a thought or word of love, and then sit back and watch the likes come flooding in.
BeHppy is one of those apps which could easily be categorized under Social Networking or Health and Fitness (which the developers decided upon in the end) but it’s social networking incognito. In fact you will avoid the awkwardness of social networking and the only comments you should receive back are ones of love, happiness and smiles.
The partners on the app turn your smiles into real money and the more you manage to generate, the more dollars find its way into charitable causes. This prompts you to post something that is going to be worth raising a smile and gives a warm feeling to others.
The kind of photos that really generate smiles are obvious, but only when you actually see them. You will need to think outside the box and get that magical picture of you and your two young children snuggled up warm by the fireside on a cold winter’s night, watching the flames flicker back and forth. Then sit back and watch those smiles come flooding in. Remember: the more smiles (smiley faces posted), the more dollars are generated to worthy and charitable causes.
You could also post something like a couple of young people holding hands on a hilltop with a sunset in the background or two people from different backgrounds shaking hands – it’s all going to end up making the world a happier place – because of you!
