Puzzler Quick Crosswords eMag iPad App Review

If you like nothing more than to chill out and thoughtfully chew your pencil over a tricky crossword then look no further than Puzzler Quick Crosswords eMag; however, if you’re using a stylus then it’s probably best to avoid putting it in your mouth…

This is actually billed as the world’s first fully interactive and playable Quick Crosswords eMag and you have the ability to download a fre taster before you subscribe to full issues of the fun magazine. There is a wide array of crosswords and word puzzles, ranging from fun and engaging ‘no nonsense’ crossword puzzles and a decent selection of ‘Ultra Quick’ moment fillers that are perfect for completing when you just have a few minutes to kill.

Fill in the blanks…

It isn’t just an eMag for the word geeks as you can dive into a Sudoku puzzle to keep your brain ticking over. What I really like is that in every issue there is an opportunity to win a huge ‘Puzzler Big Cash’ competition where you can win a share of the cash prize; this certainly adds an extra element of fun to the proceedings!

Summary

Puzzler Quick Crosswords eMag is a fun and entertaining magazine for the iPad; the iPad’s big screen makes filling in the crosswords less fiddly than it would be on an iPhone and the fact that you can win cash prizes is just, well, awesome.

Pros

  • The app is smoothly designed and the interface is easy to use.
  • The words are all ‘dictionary entries’, so that you don’t get confused over the spelling of some random jargon.

Room For Improvement

I’m not a huge fan of the constant sounds but I guess that you can always silence them.
