In iPhone app news today, SkyFire (the award-winning rich media browser for mobile devices) announced its first-ever “flash sale”, where it will be reducing the price for both its iPhone and iPad applications by $1.00 for 48 hours only.  The Flash Sale begins today at 9:00am (PST) and ends February 18, 2011 at 9:00am (PST).

So, get involved with the sale if you like a bargain; however, if you were thinking of taking your cost cutting down to criminal levels, think again.  Apple has announced that if you by jail-breaking your iPhone, you lose you access to all the e-books you’ve purchased from the iBookstore.  Is it worth it?

The proposed Apple deadline for developers to come on board with their new subscription service has been leaked in a memo as June 30 2011.  You have been warned…(Here comes the new boss, same as the old boss!)
