Press Release:

NEW YORK – Dec. 20, 2010 – STACK Media has leveraged its access to world-renowned sports trainers by partnering with ATTACK Athletics and SC Investments Consulting to create a new workout application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Called the STACK ATTACK Workout, the program was created by Tim Grover, founder of ATTACK Athletics in Chicago.

The ultimate workout for basketball players, the proprietary 12-week training program requires no equipment. More than 80 instructional videos take users through two demanding bodyweight workouts each week, all enriched by Grover’s step-by-step guidance for perfect form.

Best known as Michael Jordan’s exclusive strength and conditioning coach for 15 years, Tim Grover has developed cutting edge physiological and nutrition-based performance enhancement programs for the NBA’s best players, including current clients Kobe Bryant and Chicago native Dwyane Wade.

STACK Media and Grover, who’s been an Editorial Advisor to the company since 2005, compiled ATTACK’s most effective exercises into mobile app format for easy access in the weight room or at home. In the instructional videos, produced by STACK, Grover takes users through every exercise in the workout, followed by demonstrations by ATTACK trainers.  Reflecting the same principles he uses with Bryant, Wade and his other high profile clients, the workout will help users increase their strength, speed and jumping ability.

On the genesis of the project, STACK co-Founder and co-CEO Chad Zimmerman said, “We were interested in developing mobile apps for athletes centered on sports performance. When Tim and his team presented the idea of creating an app based on ATTACK’s training principles, we all recognized the strong potential of the partnership.”

The new app exemplifies how a media company and a sports trainer can reach new levels of innovation when they work together to provide athletes with the best resources possible for safely improving their performance.

“During my career, I’ve had the privilege to train some of the best athletes in the world,” Grover said. “This app allows me to bring that training knowledge and expertise to all athletes, so they too can improve their performance through smart training and hard work.”

The STACK ATTACK Workout app can be purchased (for $2.99) and downloaded from STACK Media at www.stack.com/ATTACKapp or through the Apple App Store.
