Flud Mobile iPhone App Review

I don’t know about you, but when I get up in the morning, there are two things I have to do immediately. The first is checking my Twitter- seeing what’s new with my tweets and answering any messages that I may have. The second is reading up on the latest tech news, and if you’re like me, you don’t want to read just one tech blog, you want to read them all, or at least, all the top stories. Fortunately, I have an app that accomplishes both those things- meet Flud.

Flud is the ultimate news aggregator, combining news sites, blogs, twitter streams, and RSS feeds into one easy to use page. The user interface is really great- just swipe through different columns to get your different feeds. You just can’t beat having it all in one single place. Especially for all you folks with limited time in the morning, being able to get all the latest and greatest news from one single app is a huge time saver. But then again, it’s great no matter what your situation is. Whether you’re short on time and you just want to skim the headlines, or completely relaxed and ready to sum up the days news, Flud is your app.

What’s great about Flud is the amount of feeds it has to offer. Obviously you’ll want to add your Twitter timeline and mentions, but they also have a broad selection of topics to choose from, ranging from business to sports, and technology to entertainment. In addition, you’re also able to import all of your Google Reader feeds, so you’ll have personalized material right from the beginning. The Google Reader feature is also great incase you want to add something that Flud doesn’t offer (unlikely, but just in case).

News apps are a dime a dozen, so it can be frustrating trying to find the winners. But trust me on this one- Flud is a winner. Even if you’re not a big news guy, there’s still the twitter and RSS factors. And let’s face it- are you really that happy with your current RSS reader app? No! Of course not! So go give Flud a try, I guarantee you a news experience that will put all others to shame.
