If you’re a business professional or just a busybody, Evernote just made things a lot easier. In the past, any kind note taking we did on our iPhone’s, work and home computers, and any other device was really a pain in the neck because nothing was in sync!
You had to either copy data between the devices, keep mental notes or whatever and sometimes things became really disorganized. With Evernote this all changes. This popular note taking application is a must-have for note organization and is regarded as one of the most essential applications for users in all walks of life.
There are four different ways you can save notes. First, you can save a note by just simply typing it out. Secondly, a “snapshot note” will use your iPhone’s camera to save notes. Thirdly, the “camera roll” will use the photos in your iOS device’s photo library. And finally, my favorite, the “voice memo” allows you to make those all too familiar, “note to self” memos.
Evernote organizes everything efficiency. After you’re finished with your note you can add a title, tags and description to make it easily searchable. For those of you who have many things going on at once, you can also organize your notes into notebooks for easy referencing. To do that all you have to do is just tap on the “Notes” button to do a quick browse or you can do a simple text search. However, the text search is not only limited to written notes! In other words, it can also recognize text in your photographs whether it is a business card, snapshot of a magazine article, whiteboard and more.
Evernote effortlessly sync’s with multiple devices. This amazing app supports most operating systems and will sync all the information you have with any other device you are currently using. If that wasn’t enough, the folks at Evernote also offer users a free account for up to 60MB. This is fine for text files and smaller images but for heavy users I suggest using their premium service that starts at $5 a month. After signing up notes are easily synced with your desktop and their online service.
Evernote is a lifesaver. Say goodbye to cumbersome and time consuming copying between devices as everything is achieved in a simple and intuitive interface. With this app I can quickly and efficiency access my important notes on the fly. Evernote quickly became an important app in my arsenal and the best thing about it? It’s FREE!
I recently started using Evernote and its “free” storage space is severely limited. I have over 4000 pics on my iphone and have used only half the iphone capacity. I uploaded 166 pics from the iphone to Evernote, used 99% of Evernote upload capacity and recieved a warning notice that Evernote utilization would be restricted until the next cycle. From a practical standpoint Evernotes data restriction allows only 2% utilization of my iphones capacity per month. With this strict data limitation, it is more functional to use my iphone, ipad, and laptops and “Forget Evernote”.
Yes you are right about the storage limitations. For mass storage on the Claude I use Dropbox! gives you decent amount of free storage.. I think 2Gig
