If you want an app that saves you money as well as gives you a great guide to travelling then Travelzoo is for you. It’s my favourite app for so many reasons but the main one is that it offers great bargains that you wouldn’t find if you just explored new cities on your own. As someone who travels quite a lot, I know the value of a good deal; basically, the traveller’s motto should be “a penny saved is a penny earned!” So, when Travelzoo recommends a bargain, I take it on good faith that they have checked out the deal themselves and know that it will save money at the same time as being a decent experience.
The app works by sending vouchers to your iPhone, a bit like Groupon or Living Social; they can be bargains at restaurants, money off booking hotels or hostels or just really fun experiences like skydiving! (Although I would always pay full whack if I was jumping out of a plane!!)
Travelzoo has allowed me to stay in very palatial establishments when travelling around Europe, ones that I would never be able to afford normally on my budget; I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the world and save a little cash at the same time. The best thing about it is the fact that it just gives you options about which cities have which deals with no pressure to buy.
