Manchester-based design agency Young who recently signed a world-wide book deal with Penguin for their self initiated illustrationproject ‘Learn Something Every Day’ have worked closely with the talented students of Hyper Island, Stockholm ( Linnéa Becker, Erik Lindebratt, Anna Helldén, Joel Helin and Linda Sandvik) in developing a a free iphone app and new site for 2011.
Having launched in 2009, the site now has a daily following of over 15,000 visitors, avidly learning a new daily fact. The new iphone app allows the user to see the hundreds of facts on the site, favourite them, and load random facts.
The project has been a successful partnering of Young and young digital talent. Co -founder pete said of the collaboration “We enjoyed working with the hyper island guys, even though they were hundreds of miles away we had a good relationship and they proved to be talented and enthusiastic digital students.”
Learnsomethingeveryday.co.uk will launch in January 2011 complete with new iphone app.
The Learn Something Every Day penguin book is set to be released in Spring 2011.
