The thing I love about yoga is that people of all ages are welcome to give it a go; there’s no competitive element involved, therefore you are only trying to do your best for you, not to beat anybody else. All-in YOGA offers users the opportunity to learn 300 poses with which to hone their technique and improve their flexibility, health and general well being.
The app is laid out fairly clearly, with every move coming with photo, video and audio guides as well as 3D models for every pose for you to imitate from the comfort of your own home. You can follow one of the 40 ready-made yoga programs or create your very own personalized session made up of your favourite poses; for more information you can visit the website Yoga.com and check out their list of workouts.
I really enjoyed the breathing exercises that come with this app; with over 30 to choose from, you’ll son master the most important technique in yoga: regulating your breath.
There are some cool music and relaxation tracks that you can have on during your session and you can even load tunes from your iPod onto your chosen playlist. What I really like about the app is that you can share your progress on Facebook and Twitter (if you want to show off!) or just log your history in your workout calendar and get a yoga-related quote for each day of the year.
If you love yoga or even just fancy a crack at a new, fun pastime then you’ll love this app; well worth the small price tag.
- The timer that sounds every time that you should switch poses is very helpful.
- The inspirational quotes are very…well, inspiring!
Room For Improvement
I do get intimidated by the flexibility of the models…any chance of some slightly less fit ones to boost my ego?!
