Have you ever been on holiday and not known what to do? I mean, of course you know how to function on holiday, but maybe you just don’t know how to get the best out of your trip. It’s happened to me a few times; the city’s bigger than you thought, the hotel is slightly further out than you pictured, the Coliseum or the Statue of Liberty aren’t as immediately visible as you imagined them to be, etc. If this sounds familiar to you, you’re not alone. Never fear, Postcard & Tag is here to help you make the most of your holiday. It’s new and out now for iOS and Android, and you’re going to want to make sure it’s in situ for your next trip abroad.
Postcard & Tag is like a really hip travel guide you can carry on your phone (because who needs actual books anymore, right? Well, in this case it’s justified, because all travel guides do is take up space in your already crammed suitcase. So there). This app will tell you the best places to eat, drink, shop, party, relax, explore, stay or visit. It has a huge list of cities, each with its own recommendations, all beautifully laid out in a bright, engaging design.
The interface is actually one of the apps greatest assets; it’s intuitively designed and really gorgeous to look at; the effect is one of inspiration, making you really want to get out and explore the enticing places it lists. The app also has many other features, all designed to help you get the most out of your trip; you can explore other travellers reviews of places and browse their pictures they’ve posted. If you feel like becoming an amateur travel blogger yourself, you’re also free to post reviews and pics to help your fellow intrepid explorers.
You can also book hotels straight from the app, and find the best bars and restaurants near your current location. Over time, the app will even start making recommendations for you, based on your previous searches; I’d like to see a boring old travel guide do THAT. All in all, Postcard & Tag is a beautiful and beautifully designed piece of kit which is sure to enhance your visit to whichever distant land you choose.
