Museflow iPhone App Review

Put simply, Museflow is an application to enhance the sound quality of your i-device…so why can’t I notice the difference?

As a musician and a music fan with an extensive collection – including everything from brand spanking new iTunes downloads to dodgy phone recordings of live gigs – this app sounded very appealing indeed. I was expecting to be able to make minor adjustments to audio quality and have an in-depth, tailor made music player, unfortunately all I seem to have is the option of a few different skins and the ability to switch between Speech, Hi-Fi and Live.

Not to blow my own trumpet, but I would say that I know enough (and I’ve heard enough) about music to be able to appreciate and notice the kind of benefits that this app is advertising, and yet I simply cannot notice any difference from playing music through this app and the provided music player on my iPhone. Having tried various headphones, earphones and speakers, and playing well produced, fresh-from-iTunes tracks as well as some rough and hideously noisy recordings through a phone speaker at a recent band practice…this app seems to make no difference whatsoever.

Pros: If you want to have a music player on your i-device in which you can change the skins, you might find this useful.

Cons: No noticeable difference in sound, and that’s basically the whole point of the app. The price is a disgrace.

Maybe I have amazing headphones and speakers to start with, maybe I’ve become tone deaf from too much drumming, maybe this app is rubbish, who knows…

  1. I went to RADSONE’S booth (maker of MUSEFLOW) at the 2012 NAB Show in Las Vegas. They were exhibiting in the KOREAN PAVILLION.

You are extremely correct, THERE IS NO NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE IN SOUND when the MUSEFLOW circuitry is engaged!

They were attempting to SELL A BOX which also had the ability to switch between Speech, Hi-Fi and Live FOR $6,000 that also contained the MUSEFLOW ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY!

The first thing I said to them prior to listening was that $6,000 was a bit much for a piece of “PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT” that was missing RACK EARS! They looked at me like I was crazy. (lol)

I then took a listen to their demos and asked myself how in the world they got the money to come to the NAB Show. They have been attempting to SELL the technology to the US since 2010 and have made NO SALES! The box was a glorified A-D CONVERTOR with switches.
