My ipod touch 4th gen finished in the washing machine. I found it after I was moving my clothes to the dryer. It was ON the whole time and even after a full washing machine cycle it would still work, but the screen was full of water. I put it in a box full of rice for 5 days and air dryied it once in a while. In the end everything was still working perfectly apart from the front facing camera that remained filled with water.

My 3 year old dropped my old iPhone down the toilet :-/ and then said ‘mummy does the iPhone like water?’ ‘Nooo!’ No damage that a pot of rice couldn’t fix, but thank God I was due an upgrade :)
